Privacy Policy for Weathering It

Weathering It ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") is developed by Trong Le, doing business as CodeWithTrong ("Developer"). This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information when you use it on iOS or Android.

We built Weathering It around a simple principle: your family's health information belongs to you, and it stays on your device.

1. No Account Required

Weathering It does not require you to create an account, log in, or provide any personal information to use the App. There is no signup process of any kind.

2. Information the App Stores

The App allows you to track:

• ▸Household member profiles (e.g., names or nicknames you choose to enter)
• ▸Standing and sick-day medications
• ▸Dose logs and schedules
• ▸Symptom notes
• ▸Reminder settings

All of this data is stored exclusively in a local SQLite database on your device. It is never automatically transmitted to the Developer, to Apple, to Google, or to any third party. We do not operate any servers that receive, process, or store your health or household data, and we cannot access it.

Because everything lives on your device, you are responsible for backing it up (see the Support/FAQ document for guidance) and for anything that happens to it if you lose, reset, or replace your device without a backup.

3. Family Sync (Optional Feature)

Weathering It offers an optional "Family Sync" feature that lets you synchronize data between your own devices.

• ▸Family Sync works peer-to-peer over your local Wi-Fi network only, using Bonjour/mDNS for device discovery.
• ▸Data sent during sync travels directly between your paired devices on your home network.
• ▸No sync data is ever sent to, or stored on, any remote server, cloud service, or third-party infrastructure. If your devices are not on the same local network, sync will not function. There is no fallback to the internet or cloud relay.
• ▸Family Sync is entirely optional. If you do not enable it, no data ever leaves your device.

4. Permissions the App Requests

Weathering It requests the following device permissions, each used only for the stated purpose:

The App does not request or use:

• ▸Location data
• ▸Contacts
• ▸Any analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs

5. In-App Purchase (Optional Tip)

The App offers an optional, one-time, non-consumable "tip" purchase to support development. This purchase is processed entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play billing systems. The App itself does not collect, transmit, process, or store any payment information (such as card numbers or billing details). That information is handled solely by Apple or Google under their respective privacy policies.

6. Data Sharing and Sale

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party. We do not use your data for marketing purposes. This is not a matter of policy alone. Because the App does not transmit your data anywhere, we have no technical ability to share, sell, or monetize it even if we wanted to.

7. Children's Privacy

Weathering It is a family app that may be used to track medication information for children within your own household, entered and managed by a parent or guardian. Because all data stays locally on the device under the household's control and is never transmitted to us, we do not collect personal information from children. The App is not directed at children as independent users and does not knowingly collect information directly from children outside the context of a parent or guardian using the App to manage their family's information.

8. Data Deletion

Because all data is stored locally, you are always in full control of it. You can delete individual entries within the App, or remove all data at once by deleting the App from your device (or by using any in-app "reset/delete all data" option, if available in your version). 9. Security

Since your data never leaves your device (except peer-to-peer during an optional local Family Sync you initiate), the primary security of your data depends on the security of your own device, for example, using a passcode, biometric lock, or device encryption provided by iOS or Android.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect new features. We will update the "Last updated" date above when changes are made. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
