Terms of Service for Weathering It

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Weathering It mobile application ("the App"), developed by Trong Le, doing business as CodeWithTrong ("Developer," "we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Description of the App

Weathering It is a family medication-tracking tool that helps you record household members, log standing and sick-day medications and doses, track symptoms, and set reminder notifications. All data is stored locally on your device. An optional "Family Sync" feature allows peer-to-peer syncing between your own devices over your local Wi-Fi network only.

2. Not Medical Advice

Weathering It is an organizational and record-keeping tool only. It is not a medical device, and it does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

  • ▸The App does not check for drug interactions, verify dosages, or evaluate the appropriateness of any medication or treatment.
  • ▸Reminders and logs are provided for your convenience only and may be affected by device settings, notification permissions, battery optimization features, phone restarts, or other factors outside our control. Reminders should not be relied upon as your sole method of remembering critical medication doses.
  • ▸Always consult a qualified healthcare provider or pharmacist for medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, and questions about medications and dosing. In a medical emergency, contact emergency services immediately.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of any information you enter into the App and for all decisions made using information from the App.

3. No Account; Local Data

The App does not require account creation or login. All data you enter is stored locally on your device in a local database controlled entirely by you. You are responsible for maintaining your device, backing up your data as you see fit, and safeguarding access to your device.

4. Family Sync

Family Sync is an optional feature that synchronizes data directly between devices you own, over your local Wi-Fi network, using peer-to-peer discovery. You are responsible for:

  • ▸Only pairing Family Sync with devices you own or that belong to trusted household members.
  • ▸Ensuring your home network and devices are reasonably secure.

We do not operate, monitor, or have access to any Family Sync connection or the data transmitted through it.

5. In-App Purchases

The App offers an optional, one-time, non-consumable "tip" purchase to support ongoing development. This purchase does not unlock additional features and is not required to use the App. All purchases are processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play billing systems and are subject to their respective terms and refund policies. We do not process payments or store payment information ourselves.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, graphics, and branding, is owned by the Developer and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to the App's intellectual property other than the limited right to use the App for its intended personal purpose.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that reminders will always be delivered reliably by the underlying operating system.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the App, including but not limited to missed medication reminders, data loss due to device failure or App deletion, or reliance on any information logged in the App. Your sole and exclusive remedy for dissatisfaction with the App is to stop using it.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Developer from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

11. Changes to the App or Terms

We may update the App or these Terms from time to time. Material changes to these Terms will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. We may discontinue or modify the App at our discretion, though because your data is stored locally, you retain access to your data on your device regardless of the App's continued availability, unless you delete the App.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Texas.
